In horse racing the Front Runner is a horse who takes the lead at the start of the race and tries to maintain that lead until crossing the finish line. This Front Runner is thundering down the racetrack toward the wire, as the jockey glances back to check on the closest competitor. Horse racing is one of the most widely attended spectator sports in America. This ancient sport began in 4500 BC among the nomadic tribesmen of Central Asia, who first domesticated the horse. Since then, horse racing has flourished as the sport of kings and as a beloved American tradition. | |||||||||||||||
